Vigdis Hjorth published the novel Arv og miljø in 2016
and it provoked a lot of reactions and discussions on
how closely literature should reflect reality. Hjorth has
written over 20 books, but Arv og miljø is considered
to be her breakthrough. The novel is also nominated
for the Nordic Council Literature Prize.
