Cities Untold – tre byer, seks digtere

De seks unge digtere fra Aalborg, Aarhus og Manchester – Cassandra Marie Geyti Sørensen, Silas Toft, Marie Laurberg Nielsen, Selina Rom Andersen, Billie Meredith og Safwat El-Sanossi – præsenterer byernes hemmeligheder omsat til lyrik, som er blevet til under deres ophold i de tre byer. Arrangementet er en del af projektet Cities Untold, et samarbejde mellem LiteratureXchange i Aarhus, Ordkraft i Aalborg og Manchester Literature Festival, hvor seks unge digtere har besøgt hinandens byer og indsamlet byens hemmeligheder. Borgere har også haft mulighed for at indsende deres egne hemmeligheder og historier, som digterne har omskrevet til fiktion og givet lyrisk form.
I samarbejde med instruktør Nicole May fra litteratur- og performancekunstfællesskabet Young Identity (Manchester) binder forfatterne deres værker sammen til en præsentation.

The six young poets from Aalborg, Aarhus, and Manchester – Cassandra Marie Geyti Sørensen, Silas Toft, Marie Laurberg Nielsen, Selina Rom Andersen, Billie Meredith, and Safwat El-Sanossi – present the cities’ secrets translated into poetry, created during their stay in the three cities. The event is a part of the project Cities Untold, a collaboration between LiteratureXchange in Aarhus, Ordkraft in Aalborg, and Manchester Literature Festival, where six young poets have visited each other’s cities and collected the cities’ secrets. The citizens have also had the opportunity to submit their secrets and stories, which the poets have transformed into fiction and given a lyrical form.
In collaboration with instructor Nicole May from the literature and art performance community Young Identity (Manchester), the writers weave their works together into one presentation.
